Buchie the “Unwanted”

Before IC’s third litter was born, their fate has been decided. Chuchie is deliberately and instantly owned by my sister because she resembles Chuckie, our Aspin puppy who died a month before his first birthday, while Buchie became the “unwanted,” especially by my parents for a primary reason: we have four pooches including Chuchie to keep us busy. Though my sister and I wanted her to stay with us and most importantly with her parents and siblings. We admitted ourselves that our hands are full already. But we did succeed in convincing our parents to let Kermit stay for good, so I the thought of, perhaps, successfully doing the trick twice for Buchie lingered in my mind.

Animal Cemetery in the Philippines

Scratches on the furniture, chewed shoes, and uprooted plants are some of the mischiefs along with the good deeds of our dogs are what is left to us when they—depart for good—or to ease one’s longing, we can say they’ve accomplished their job.

Pertaining to such dreaded-to-be-discussed topic is a good news for pet owners, especially residing in Manila, that calls for celebration: the proposed animal cemetery in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

Kermit’s First Season

I’m happy for Kermit because she made it—her first season has ended and passed, that means she has zero possibility of pregnancy. What a victory for us! Our teamwork has paid off. Since we discovered the unusual condition of her hind feet, we have decided that though spaying is not an option—she will remain—forever single, through our effort that is put to the test afterwards.

Chuckie the “Great”

Today is All Souls Day; prior to this day many spooky story or movies were shown that everyone had enough already so I wouldn’t write anything relevant to Halloween for now. The creepy joke is as far as I can go in this topic. Instead, I decided to write a tribute for a friend, a companion, and a family.

Chuckie the “Great” is the apple of the eye of everyone in our family. Though he is a Filipino dog, one wouldn’t have a clue, a quality he inherited from his father and a little from her mom. It’s not just his western look that made us fall in love with him. He has unique personalities. I’ll take you back in his journey in life: the joy, misadventure, and hardship—how hard he fought till the end and how we are living without him by our side.
