Happy 4th Birthday Daddy Pino!

I missed my blog and telling stories. It is neglected because my grannies are so busy: one is working with her personal blog and the other is working in odesk. But no matter what, I’m still going to share what happened on March 9, a very special day for my dad.

My dad Pino turned four years old. Way ahead the event my grannies were talking about what to prepare while I’m just listening and waiting if the plan will materialize because I like experiencing the result than making plans.

“Happy birthday to me! But where’s the FOOD.”

Everyone was in a good mood early in the morning. They greeted and sing for my dad and urged us to do the same. After my human family had lunched, they were busy cooking, walking back and forth, and  cleaning—I just presumed that what they are doing have something to do with the celebration—and most importantly the food.

I was excited that I stood on the chair all the time following their every move. I was getting more thrilled when they brought our dog bowl to the kitchen which means two things—for cleaning or for serving food. Then my bowl was dropped—inside is long, spaghetti covered with sauce full of Lycopene. Happy b-day daddy! Yummy, the spaghetti is firm and the sweetness and sourness of the sauce blends well. I cleaned (licked) my bowl so as not to waste anything and to keep it clean.

askal sniffing a spaghetti border=
”Tada! Spaghetti for the birthday celebrant.
(IC, on the background, also had the al dente treat, though she doesn’t have a present for Pino.)”

Afterwards, I thought we’re done with the celebration. My grannies left because they went to church for Ash Wednesday. They have smear of ash on their forehead when they went home and have bought a cold treat for us—ice cream. We just had the coffee flavor, no chocolate—even in birthdays, not even dad. We gloat together; coffee is yummy anyway.

”Yum, I wish ... yum … for more birthdays to come and … yum … yum … spaghetti.”

In behalf of my Aspin family, I like to thank my earthling family for a yummy treat and that they didn’t forget my dad’s special day. And to our dad without you, Kermit, Buchie, and I wouldn’t be here enjoying the spaghetti and ice cream.

Can’t wait for your next b-day! And you’re invited in my coming first b-day this May.
